Each child will learn through age-appropriate hands-on discovery, play, practice, and exploration. Your student will flourish while their unique interests and giftings are seen, encouraged, and valued. While learning Biblical truth, God’s heart for them and His heart for others becomes their starting point. Each day we lather your child in age-appropriate challenging curriculum; we prepare your child with critical character values, crucial communication skills, and an all-around foundational love of learning.
2020/21 Programs
PK2
Two-year-olds are sponges by nature, soaking in everything around them, taking fresh steps towards more independence and following their curiosity. We love to join with them and celebrate their curious natures, lathering them throughout the day in Biblical character traits, communication and problem solving skills, rich vocabulary, stimulating discovery centers, and a consistent routine to allow for a gentle transition from home to school. In our two-year-old program, we greatly value shepherding your child’s heart and laying a foundational base of encouragement in who they are in Christ. In addition to Bible study, daily singing, sign-language, story-time, science, recess, and art projects, we provide weekly special classes in: physical education, art, music, library, and Spanish. We also gather together for a regular chapel service.
PK3
Three-year-olds love to practice their independence through exploration and play as much as possible! Our flexible curriculum honors their need for play through hands-on learning and accesses their abilities to grasp foundational concepts. We integrate Biblical character traits and promote strong communication skills that support our students in the areas of listening, obeying, resolving conflicts and serving with kindness. We provide strategically planned discovery opportunities as well as student-led discoveries, celebrating the explorer inside each of them.
We use Pearson’s “Sing, Spell, Read, & Write” for Language Arts, and Pearson’s “Big Math for Little Kids” for our math curriculum. Your child is exposed to concepts such as letter and number recognition, phonemic awareness, sound/letter correspondence, shapes, colors, and other essential concepts. Their fine and gross motor skills are strengthened all throughout the day with math manipulatives, writing practice, fun and engaging learning centers, science, painting, individualized instruction, group activities, age-appropriate playground, and in weekly special classes (physical education, art, music, library, and Spanish). We also gather together for regular chapel service. In the classroom, our experienced teachers are dedicated to educating the whole child with a strong foundation of encouragement, Biblical character values, and developing a consistent classroom routine in preparation for PK4 and Kindergarten.
PK4
Four-year-olds are curious by nature yet ready to utilize the structural opportunity given to them. With a strong Biblical foundation, our curriculum and staff capitalize on your child’s hunger to learn and explore, celebrating their discoveries, helping them gain independence and self-confidence while achieving academic readiness for Kindergarten. We integrate key character traits and God’s truth throughout our entire day—along with promoting strong communication skills that support the children in listening, obeying, resolving conflict, and serving with kindness.
We use the ACSI curriculum “I Know How to Count and Write” for our Language Arts and Math. Our Language Arts curriculum emphasizes phonics, syllable and sound awareness, critical thinking skills, an introduction to sight words, public speaking, and saturation in literature and poetry. Within our math curriculum, your child will be introduced to number concepts in a variety of ways, such as graphing, patterning, estimation, counting, money practice, etc. In addition to Bible study, daily singing, sign-language, story-time, science, recess, and art projects, we provide weekly special classes in physical education, art, music, library, and Spanish. We also gather for regular chapel service.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten is a time of change, challenge, and opportunity. Our kindergarten program emphasizes a strong academic foundation through interactive, developmentally appropriate learning with biblical concepts woven throughout our day. We use the Fountas & Pinnell Literacy curriculum to provide a solid foundation and foster a lifelong love of reading. Our math curriculum includes critical thinking skills, number sense to 100, and addition and subtraction, among many other concepts. Science and social studies are taught through the use of thematic units full of hands-on activities. Weekly special classes include physical education, art, music, library, and Spanish. Students also gather for regular chapel service. Nurturing, Christ-centered teaching promotes a joy of learning and prepares our students spiritually, socially, and academically.

1st grade is a year of important transitions—children leave behind some of the play of preschool and kindergarten and dive into developing deeper academic skills. 1st graders progress from having beginner reading and writing skills to becoming beginning readers and writers, as they not only read and write more often, but with greater comprehension and ability, too. Our curriculum is designed to make students think critically and to teach students how to work together to solve problems. We integrate key character traits and God’s truth throughout our entire day—along with promoting strong communication skills that support the children in listening, obeying, resolving conflict, and serving with kindness. The children learn through whole group, small group, and individualized instruction, and also through engaging learning centers. . Our Abeka Math curriculum reinforces number concepts to 1000, story problems using critical thinking, money, time, calendar skills, addition and subtraction, among many other concepts. In addition to Bible study, social studies, science, recess, and art projects, we provide weekly special classes in physical education, art, music, library, and Spanish.
