Aftercare

Below are some helpful hints regarding Extended Care for the upcoming year:

Registration: Sign into JCS Portal to fill out online form
Location: Cafeteria (2nd to 6th grade)

Hours (full days): 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  

Food: Send children with a healthy snack and drink
(Reminder: JCS does not provide food/drink. Due to serious peanut and tree nut allergies, please avoid sending any snacks that may contain traces of these two allergens.)                                                      

Early Release Days (half days): 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Reminder: On half days, the cafeteria is closed. Please pack a lunch.)

Billing:  Attendance is taken daily.

Daily Schedule: 

2:45-3:00 (2nd-4th grade) outdoor, front playground, picnic area, snack time, attendance
3:00-4:00 (2nd-4th grade) indoor/outdoor, homework/quiet reading, indoor games
2:45-3:00 (5th-6th grade) outdoor activities/free play, snack time
3:00-4:00 (5th-6th grade) indoor/outdoor, homework/quiet reading, indoor games

4:00-6:00 Remaining student(s) - indoor/outdoor activities

(Extended Care will utilize one room as a quiet reading/homework room, while the other will be utilized as an indoor activities room including board/card games, LEGOs, dolls, coloring, free draw, etc.) If the weather is nice we stay outdoors for the duration of Extended Care.
