Dear JCS Upper School,
I wanted to say thank you once again. Every one of you deserve credit, from our JCS parents who have partnered with our teachers in distance learning, and the students who learned to take more control of their education. We also want to recognize the teachers who adapted to a new teaching platform, dealt with a pandemic and all while working to provide stability, encouragement and a rigorous, yet fair education for our students.
Thank you for the encouraging emails that sustained us and the challenging ones that made us strive to be better. We value hearing your concerns about graduation and end of the year technology. Together, we worked to help teach students to take the initiative and to begin taking ownership of the education.
This Easter, we have a lot to pray for and we certainly will, but we have even greater reason to sing and shout His praises. He is risen and the tomb was empty, praise His name.
In the spirit of hope, and with the intention to celebrate our Seniors, we have secured Christ Fellowship on June 25th for graduation. Together we will continue to coordinate with the state and national health official's, but June was the month the Seniors asked for and its imperative they be included in the decisions that impact them. Please pray that this crisis will end as quickly as possible.
We are also working on the Senior Trip; Upper School Finals and we finalized the 2020-2021 Course Guide, which you will be receiving shortly. We have reason to pray, reason to celebrate and we are very excited for next year.
Happy Easter,
