Dear JCS Parents,
At Jupiter Christian School we are committed to teaching the mind, reaching the heart, and inspiring servant leaders who will impact the world for Jesus Christ. To ensure our fulfillment in this, our strategic plan initiatives are designed to support the delivery of a guaranteed and viable curriculum in a learning environment that allows our students to flourish with intentional focus on college and career readiness, 21st century learning, and increased global awareness. As such, JCS has partnered with ACEWISE over the last several years to provide an enriching cultural experience for both our students and international student visitors through short-term shadowing experiences and our International Winter Camp.
Jupiter Christian has been in close contact with Epidemiology Program Manager Dr. Karen Thomas from the Palm Beach County Health Department and she shared the following with us in regards to the Novel Coronavirus:
In response to specific Lower School inquiries, Lower School Principal Rivera sent out a communication last evening. We have heard your concerns, value your feedback, and place the highest priority on safety and security of your children. In response to your concern, the administration has determined to shorten the shadow experiences, ending them today, January 29th.
While Dr. Thomas made it clear that there was no need to further disinfect beyond our routine protocol, our facilities team is working this afternoon and throughout the night to thoroughly disinfect classrooms, hallways, and restrooms to provide our JCS families with an added layer of assurance.
