Advancing our JCS Mission: committed to excellence in teaching the mind, reaching the heart, and inspiring servant leaders who will impact the world for Jesus Christ. Dear Jupiter Christian School Community,
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly, a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests." Luke 2: 8-14
"I bring you good news of great joy..." On this third week of Advent, we focus on joy, on finding true joy in Christ's birth at Christmas. What joy there is in knowing that God loves us so much that He sent His Son for you and for me, to bring us the gift of personal relationship with Him and the promise of eternal life! Because of His great love for us, we can have, not just fleeting moments of happiness, but true lasting joy, no matter our circumstances, because God is with us.
This week at Jupiter Christian there will be much happiness and holiday cheer with parties and celebrations across our campuses, from A World of Christmas, our 1st-4th grade program, on December 17th to Christmas on the Court on December 19th. Many of our classrooms will host Christmas parties where our students and parent volunteers can come together for games, crafts, and lots of Christmas cheer.
Along with the festivities and fun, there will also be, of course, moments of stress and worry as students prepare to take semester exams, parents scramble to complete that last minute shopping, faculty and staff strive to meet deadlines before the break, and others in our JCS family face health issues or loss at this time of year. I pray that in these moments too, each of you will find true joy in the assurance that God is in control, of even the smallest details of our lives, and we can rejoice because He walks with us in those difficult times, and will never leave us. Immanuel - God with us!
