Dear JCS Families,
The current plan is to reopen the school on Thursday, September 5. Tomorrow, our Operations department will be working on our campuses to clean up any debris and confirm that all internal systems are online, including email and PlusPortals. A special thank you to our Operations team and the many volunteers who helped to prepare the campuses and ensure the readiness and safety of our physical plant ahead of the storm.
Administration understands that circumstances vary greatly for each family, and as such absences will be excused for students unable to return to school on Thursday and Friday. Please make the decision that is best for your family; we will work with all of our school families to make the transition back to school as smooth as possible. Absences should be reported directly to each division office (Lower School, Kathy Cleveland, Upper School, Susie Mydock, and East Campus, Julie Kelly.
You will receive another communication tomorrow with a final confirmation of the Thursday reopening date, taking in to account the possibility of any change in the storm track. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at dbreslin@jupiterchristian.org.
We are praying for all those in the Bahamas who have been impacted by Hurricane Dorian. We know that in the coming weeks and months God will use many faithful volunteers and donors to help those in need there. "I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth." Psalm 121: 1-2
