Dear JCS Families,
Jupiter Christian School is closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Dorian. The Jupiter Christian Administration recognizes the amount of work each family will face in preparation for the hurricane and we want to ensure adequate time for preparation. Please be reminded that there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Friday, August 30 for the previously scheduled Teacher In-Service Day as well as NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
We are committed to timely and accurate communication with our families, faculty and staff. Over the next few days, through potential landfall and recovery, you will receive updates through several channels of communication, including emails, text messages, and our website main page.. The next update will be provided by 5 p.m. tomorrow.
With regards to the athletic schedule, our first home football game has been rescheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. at Jupiter High School and the cross country meet scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled.
The JCS Administration understands circumstances vary greatly for each family and as such, absences will be excused for those students unable to return to school shortly after we reopen. We will reach a decision as to when to reopen once the storm has passed and the campuses have been assessed for any damage.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at dbreslin@jupiterchristian.org. Absences should be reported directly to each division office (Lower School, Kathy Cleveland, Upper School, Susie Mydock, and East Campus, Julie Kelly.
We pray that our JCS family stays safe through the storm and look forward to seeing our students back on campus next week.
