We were thrilled to see so many of you attend the interest meeting last Friday for Impact Cheerleading at JCS! We have already had a number of registrations and are looking forward to forming our team. The first year of Impact at JCS will be open to 2nd through 6th grade girls. There are no requirements and no experience needed to be on the team, however it is imperative that all our cheerleaders have a level of commitment that will be outlined by the coaching staff that will allow the team to compete successfully. In order to maximize our practice time, they must be capable of getting themselves changed, tying their own shoes, opening their own snack, taking care of their trash, and packing up their own belongings.
Please click the link below for more information. If your student is interested in doing Impact Cheer this year, please contact Kristen Breslin by no later than Monday, August 26th.
Impact Cheerleading is a nationwide ministry whose goal is to reach young cheerleaders for the Gospel of Christ. Our goal here at JCS is to honor God with our talents, glorify Him in all that we do, and create an environment where each girl can excel as an integral part of the team. The Impact program at JCS will benefit our cheerleading program and strengthens our school in so many ways. The girls will learn to trust one another, build each other up, and have a bond outside of school in the context of a sport that requires them to depend on each other.
