Dear JCS Parents, New Athletic Director Named - Whitney Bailey
We are pleased to welcome Whitney Bailey as our new Athletic Director. Whitney most recently served as Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations, Senior Women's Administrator, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Palm Beach Atlantic University. As a member of senior management for the Athletic Department at PBA, her responsibilities included athletic budget management and forecasting, contract review and negotiations, and preparation of internal and external reporting documents. She worked as the athletic liaison for institutional and NCAA audits, and provided supervision of the compliance office, athletic training department, and athletic secretary, as well as student employees and interns. During her time there, Whitney was one of 10 individuals selected nationally to participate in the 2014 NCAA & Division II Athletic Directors Association Women and Minorities Mentoring Institute for future NCAA leadership. She also served as a member of multiple university task forces including the University Leadership Board, University Retention Committee, Athletic Compliance Committee, and Athletic Personnel Search Committee.
Her responsibilities included preparing multiple proposals for the university including the extensive Sunshine State Conference Application document, as well as production of the NCAA Financial Report, Institutional Self Study Guide, EADA, and Academic Success Rate reports. In addition, Whitney coauthored the Athletic Department Staff, Compliance, and Student Handbooks, and developed a best practices document for university camps. In addition, she was responsible for scheduling and coordinating athletic campus events and SAAC community outreach.
Along with years of experience in office management, budget planning and forecasting, industry and federal compliance, leadership training and corporate event planning, Whitney's career has also included hands-on coaching experience. She served as Assistant Volleyball Coach at Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida, as well as Head Volleyball Coach of the Treasure Coast Volleyball Club and the Palm Beach Juniors Volleyball team. Whitney holds Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She was a 2013 recipient of the Dr. Joe Eassa Scholarship Award for the Rinker School of Business, member of the Sigma Beta Delta Honors, and competed as a collegiate volleyball athlete for four years, serving as team captain and NCCAA All-American.
At JCS, we believe that athletics is an excellent environment to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ and become more like Him through the testing of our faith. Whitney shares this mission and as Athletic Director, she is looking forward to inspiring and equipping our student athletes to become what she calls Christian game-changers.

Whitney began in her new position at JCS on April 23 and will serve 3 days a week from April through June. She will become full time staff on July 1, 2019 and will sit as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Whitney, along with her husband Ben and children Beau, Emmalyn, and Gracie are excited to join the JCS family!
