Join us for our GREATEST HITS GRANDPARENT'S DAY PROGRAM on  Friday, March 15th, at  9:00 a.m. in our West Campus Gymnatorium! Our Kindergarten - 6th grade students are enthusiastically preparing for this highly anticipated program honoring our JCS grandparents. Musical performances will showcase some of the greatest hits from Disney favorites and '50s music to beloved hymns and moving spirituals. Please be reminded that this is also an early release day and extended care is closed.

 

PHOTOS: Thank you to all who sent in fantastic photos of your student and their grandparents! The deadline to submit photos was yesterday and the dropbox is now closed. We are not able to accept any further submissions as the program slideshow is complete.

Our Dino-Mite Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing on the West Campus!. The fair offers book selections for students in preschool to 8th grade. There is still time to shop both on campus and online:

 

On Campus Shopping Hours & Special Events:

Thursday, March 14  8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Friday, March 15   8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Join us after the music program for our Grand Event

Students will have the opportunity to shop with their grandparents

For student shopping during class time visits to the fair, parents can either send cash or click below to set up an e-wallet program to make shopping for your student easy and convenient.

Registration for Fourth Quarter After School Clubs is now open. Lower School Clubs begin the week of April 1st and East Campus Clubs begin the week of March 25th. Space is limited for each club and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Fourth quarter offerings include:

 

Lower School:

Dodgeball (Grades 2-3)

Self-Defense (Grades 2-6)

Everyone Can Do Yoga (Grades 2-6)

Dodgeball (Grades 4-6)

Lego (Grades 2-3)

Karaoke Club

Clay Club (Grades 2-6)

STEM/STEAM Club (Grades 3-4)

 

All students participating in clubs meet in the Eagle's Cafe and wait with Mr. Hoffman until their instructor picks them up. Clubs are from 2:45 -3:45 p.m. 

 

East Campus:

STEAM Education for the 21st Century

Sports Club (Kindergarten & 1st Grade)

Sports Club for Girls (Kindergarten & 1st Grade)

Yoga for Kids (PK4-1st Grade)

The JCS Intramural Sports Program is designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals of sports in a fun, encouraging environment. Our next Intramural Sport will be co-ed basketball.  We will have 2 divisions—a Grades 2-3 league (on 8ft. baskets) and a Grade 4-6 league. The majority of practices and games will be on EITHER Tuesday or Thursday with a couple of Saturday games mixed in.

 

Registration is now open. To register, log in to PlusPortals and go to FORMS.

Jupiter Christian Community Service Club and Lower School SGA are stuffing 2000 Easter Eggs for the Bow Down Church's Easter Community Outreach. They are also packing 75 Goodie Bags for the Bow Down Sunday School children.

 

Donations are needed on or before March 27th and may be dropped off in Room 101, in Room 201 or at the Upper School office.

 

Items needed:

800 empty plastic Easter Eggs – many already donated

Lots of INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED:

Mints, Caramels, Jolly Ranchers, Starbursts, Tootsie Rolls, Life Savers, Swedish Fish and Small Toys for Eggs; Small chocolates, Granola Bars, "Austin" crackers and cheese, etc. for the Goodie Bags

 

PLEASE!!! NO NUTS or PEANUT BUTTER

 

Community Service Hours are available on Friday, March 30th, and Friday, April 5th.  Students should sign up with Mrs. Eve and be in her room, #101, at 2:50 and plan to stay 1 hour.

Jupiter Christian Grace Team is excited to announce that the 2019 Faculty and Staff Appreciation Week will be April 8-12. We would greatly appreciate as much involvement from our parents as possible and are looking for volunteers the week of the event for set up, tear down and serving.

 

If you are interested in volunteering, please email Chelesa Gunn for East Campus or Cyndy Warren for West Campus and specify which date or dates you are available to serve our amazing teachers and staff.

 

The Grace Team is also looking for gift cards from our families and any business owners within the community to give to our teachers during this week. Please leave all gift cards in the front office of the East or West Campus by April 1, Attn: FSA or go to venmo.com and contribute to a group gift card by searching under the name Chelsea Gunn.

Our JCS Theatre Department is proud to announce the upcoming spring musical production of Disney The Little Mermaid JR on April 26 & 27 and May 3 & 4 at the Performing Arts Academy of Jupiter. Special faculty cast members will include Mr. Shaw, Mrs. Bloomfield and Mrs. Snyder. Tickets go on sale April 3 - more information on ticket orders  - coming soon!

Summer camps at Jupiter Christian School feature a variety of day camps and sports camps taught by some of the areas top instructors. To find out more about our West Campus summer camp programming, contact Ben Hoffman. Specific dates and registration information will be available in the near future.

 

Camp Eagle is our day camp program for rising 1st graders - 6th grade, and is located on our West Campus. This program is designed to be a Bible-based activity camp, where each day begins with worship and devotions. Students will break up into age appropriate groups for activities such as Art, PE, and Technology. Field trips (2 per week) include destinations such as the North County Aquatic Complex, Rapids Water Park, Lighthouse Mini golf, Lion Country Safari, Dubois Park, and more!

 

All campers will enjoy a variety of tutorial & educational computer activities, indoor/outdoor games & athletic events, individual & team sports instruction, social & character development, and arts & crafts. Camp Eagle runs M – F : 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. This year our weekly camp themes will include:

 

June 17 – 21     Beach Week

June 24 – 28     Superhero Week

July 8 – 12        Sports week

July 15 – 19      Water Week

July 22 – 26      Nature Week

JCS Summer Camp Spotlight: Discovering Jupiter Through Art

 

As part of our JCS Summer Camp program, a new and exciting art camp is coming in June!

 

Discovering Jupiter Through Art:

Jupiter Christian School Art Camp

Directors:  Ms. Banas and Mrs. Shaddix

 

June 10-14  9a.m. -4 p.m.

Rising 1st Graders thru 6th Graders

$250 for the week, please pack a lunch.

Space in limited so sign up soon! Our limit is 30 students. 

 

Mrs. Shaddix and Ms. Banas will be having a special week of art camp focusing on our beautiful local town of Jupiter. Projects will be inspired by our local lighthouse, native flaura and fauna, the beach, and sea life. You will create a canvas painting project, clay project, paper mache and much more!  Come enjoy a fun summer camp week and make sure to bring your creativity with you!  Our week will conclude with a mini art exhibit where the children will display all of their work Friday afternoon at 4:00!  Come enjoy a fun and creative week!

The Bear's Club Golf Invitational

Founded in 1999 by Jack and Barbara Nicklaus, The Bear's Club was created to offer members and their guests a world-class golf and club experience. Our annual golf invitational allows us to invest in added resources and provide new opportunities needed to mentor and nurture the leaders of tomorrow.  

 

An individual golf experience is $500 or $1800 for a foursome. For any questions about the event, contact JCS Chief Advancement Officer Darlaine Sisk or Golf Invitational Chair Lynette Sawyer.
