From the Desk of the President

Dear JCS Parents,

We are pleased to welcome Julie Teufel as our East Campus PE Teacher. Our students will have the opportunity to meet her tomorrow during the first day back from Christmas break. We know they will love her enthusiasm and passion for making physical education both fun and engaging.

Julie comes to JCS with experience as an athletic director and physical education teacher serving, most recently, at Calgary Christian School in Alberta, Canada. There she taught PE classes for students in grades K-9 and also served as a middle and high school science teacher. During her time at Calgary, she coached volleyball, golf, basketball, track and field, and softball.

Prior to receiving a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of West Florida, she studied elementary education at Liberty University for two years before transferring to UWF. Julie played softball under an NCAA Athletic Scholarship at both universities. She also won the Canadian National Gold Medal Women's Softball Championship in 2007.

In addition to teaching and coaching, Julie will work on special events for athletics and advancement at JCS. Previously she served as a fundraising coordinator for the UWF softball team and has worked for charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.

Julie and her family recently moved back to the area and she is excited to be a part of our East Campus. Her husband, Shawn, is a JCS Alumni and is currently our assistant varsity baseball coach. Julie's love for teaching and desire to share the message of Christ with her students is a wonderful fit with the mission of JCS.

We are excited to see what God will do through Julie's ministry at Jupiter Christian!
