Dear JCS Parents,
We are excited to announce that the newly-renovated section of our Eagles Café will open early next week for our West Campus students and faculty. On Thursday we received final inspections and a certificate of completion from the Town of Jupiter.
Director of Operations Jacob Godino has worked closely with Tri-Core Construction to complete the renovation, which includes a new warming kitchen area and a full service food serving island. The WT Café daily menu will be expanded to include a full salad bar and soup station along with made from scratch entrees and sides that are the hallmark of the WT Café experience.
We want to thank our JCS families and students for their patience as we diligently worked to complete this new area of the café. A special thank you to Steve and Jean Smith (Florida Restaurant Equipment Professionals, REPS) for donating new, state of the art kitchen and warming equipment to the Eagles Café!
Food Service Meal Plan
At the beginning of the school year when we introduced the new program, we made a commitment to partner with our JCS parents in this area, as we do in so many other ways, to ensure that we were able to meet the nutritional needs of our students in a way that was both exciting and full of options that match a variety of dietary needs and personal preferences. Since then, we have received valuable feedback from parents, students and faculty that has allowed us to communicate to our vendor both praise for the quality of their food and to look at areas where they could fine tune the program.
On November 16, the initial 3-month trial plan, selected by so many families, will expire. With the renovation now complete and a full menu available, we are pleased to offer a one month extension to give our families an opportunity to experience all of the new selections as they prepare to sign up for the remainder of the school year. Parents will receive an email from our business office soon to take advantage of the one month extension or sign up for the one month trial if they have not yet tried out the program. We are confident that students and faculty will find the complete WT Café menu to be full of even more healthy, delicious options. More information about the opportunity to sign up for the full-year meal plan will be available in the near future.
Veterans Day Luncheon
As a special treat, following our Veterans Day program on November 9, JCS families will have another opportunity to sample the WT Café menu selections as lunch will be served in the Media Center. We look forward to this time of fellowship with parents, students, faculty and staff.
