•       JCS Gymnatorium
•       Schedules will be issued
•       No schedule changes will be made during Orientation

•       JCS Gymnatorium

•       7—12 Locker & Supply Drop-Off ~ August 14, 2:00—4:00 p.m.

Lower School Parent Orientation
Grades 2nd—6th
Monday, August 13th - 6:00 p.m.
•       JCS Gymnatorium
•       For parents only—no students or younger siblings, please
•       At least one parent per family is requested to attend

Lower School Open House
Grades 2nd—6th
Tuesday, August 14th - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
•       For students and parents
•       Drop off your child's classroom supplies and meet the teacher

East Campus "Sneak Peek"
Grades K2-1st
Saturday, August 11th - 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
•     Come for a "sneak peek" for our currently enrolled families to see our beautiful new campus

East Campus Open House
Grades K2—1st
Tuesday, August 14th - 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
•     The Open House will provide an opportunity for each student to visit their classroom, meet their teacher and make a new friend. Students are welcome to bring their school supplies to their classroom on this day. 

First Day of School Reminders

Upper School: Wednesday, August 15
Students in grades 7-12 will need to arrive in their first period classroom by 8:30 a.m. (late start Wednesday). Regular start time is 7:50 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. It is highly recommended that you arrive early the first two weeks of school until car line can adjust and traffic returns to normal. Dismissal is at 2:45 p.m.

Lower School: Wednesday, August 15
Students in grades 2 – 6 will need to arrive in their classroom by 8:00 a.m. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. at no extra charge. Dismissal is at 2:30 p.m., which is a little earlier than last year.

East Campus: Wednesday, August 15th
East Campus school hours are from 8:15 a.m. – 2:50 p.m. Students may be brought to the classroom prior to the start of the day.

Eagles Cafe Update

It's time to make your selection for the food service option for your student(s) as we start off the 2018-19 school year! At this time, it is essential that we have your student's food service program selection in the system in order for our Eagle's Café to be prepared to provide the best service beginning with the first day of school. Even if you are choosing to have your student start the year by bringing their own lunch, we need to have that recorded in our system. Please login to your PlusPortals Forms account and make your selection today.

Clinic Reminder

Any new students or returning 7th grade students need to provide a copy of a health and physical form completed within one year of the school start date and completed immunization records. This is required to start the first day of school. If you have any questions for the Clinic, please email or call (561) 354-1928. 

Used Uniform Sale

Harris School Uniforms is the only approved school uniform vendor for the 2018/19 school year. Uniforms can be purchased online or in person at the store.

A Used Uniform Sale will take place on Tuesday, August 14th from 11 - 3:00 p.m. at the Uniform Closet. The Uniform Closet (Storage 4)  is located on the 1st  floor Upper School wing near the Mac Lab.

Parent Volunteers

Do you want to become a JCS volunteer? If so, all parents who wish to volunteer or accompany their children on JCS field trips must have a current and valid background check. Livescan will be in the East Campus Gym on Tuesday, August 28th from 7:00 - 11:30 a.m. for those parents who plan on volunteering now or in the future. The background check will be valid for 5 years and will be on file with JCS. This background check is processed through the Volunteer & Employee Criminal History System (VECHS) with the FDLE, specifically for JCS, so previous other agency clearances are not acceptable. You can accomplish this by either making an appointment at the in-school Livescan session or by scheduling an individual appointment at their office in Palm Beach Gardens.

Fall Sports Kickoff Carnival

The JCS Athletic Department has been preparing for our fall sports season and we are excited to share all of the great opportunities available! All JCS families grades PK2-12 are invited to join us for our Fall Sports Kickoff Carnival on August 16th at 6 p.m. The event will begin in the JCS Gym with introductions of the teams then moving to the FITTEAM Field. You will enjoy a FREE BBQ, sno cones, face painting, games and a bounce house. All families who attend will receive a complimentary shirt, bag and JCS athletics calendar magnet. We hope to see you all there!  The Fall Sports Kickoff Carnival is Sponsored by the Booster Club.
