April 18, 2018 Jupiter Christian School will be having a time to get together to learn more about students and social media. Please join us on Thursday, April 19 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Media Center. Parents of students in grades 5-12 are invited to learn principles and practices to help your student navigate life in the cyber age. Refreshments will be served and there will be some great giveaways as well.
JCS Parents! Are you looking for a fun-filled night out for your kids, where they can have a blast while you enjoy a relaxing evening knowing they are in a safe environment? Our JCS Kids Night Out will be on Friday, April 20 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We will meet in the gym for a night of games, fun, and food!
The first Upper School Tri-M Honor Society Coffee House was a success! The afternoon of music and refreshments was completely planned and executed by students, with student musical performances and a student audience of 7th-12th graders. The Media Center was transformed into a casual coffee house complete with cozy seating, beverages and snacks and performances ranging from piano, guitar and clarinet solos to vocal duets. Congratulations to all who participated and we can't wait for the next one!
It is our pleasure to congratulate our students that made the Principal's List and Honor Roll for the 3rd quarter. We recognize that it requires a significant amount of effort and dedication to attain the level of academic success that each of these students have reached.
Our JCS Theatre Department is proud to announce the upcoming spring production of the JCS One-Act Theatre Festival on April 26 & 27 at the Eissey Campus Theatre. The show will include four different one-act plays and several musical theatre solos over the course of two days, with one of the plays written and directed by one of our own JCS students. This year's show is a unique opportunity for our theatre students to not only act and sing but also gain experience with playwriting, directing and stage management. Join us on Tuesday, May 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the JCS gym, as the Fine Arts Department presents the Spring Fine Arts Showcase Box Office Hits. 5th & 6th grade band and choir students along with our Upper School choir and concert band will perform favorite songs of films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars , Jurassic Park, and Disney movie showstoppers. The evening will include an Awards Ceremony for band and choir students, a middle school Art Display and a National Art Honor Society Sidewalk Chalk Design. We look forward to seeing you for a night of music and art to celebrate our outstanding fine arts academy students.
Community Service hours are a wonderful opportunity to serve others and our community. Graduation requirements are 30 hours of service each year for high school students, while middle school students must complete 20 hours annually. Jupiter Christian School's Annual Golf Invitational will be held on Friday, May 11th at the Bear's Club. Whether you golf or not, you can show your support by attending this amazing event. Golf foursomes are sold out but opportunities to sponsor a Tee Sign and seats for the Lunch Only option are still available. On Tuesday, May 22nd, the Athletic Department will be hosting a Sports Physical Day for the 2018/19 athletic season. Dr. Wade Van Sice and his team will be on campus to help facilitate this day. We invite all 5th-11th grade student-athletes to have their yearly sports physical done here on campus during school hours to avoid the rush at the start of the 2018-19 school year.
