Re-enrollment Update
 

Dear JCS Parents,

It is with great enthusiasm that we send you re-enrollment information for the 2018-2019 school year. Re-enrollment begins the week of January 22nd. Great things are happening at Jupiter Christian School and the year ahead promises to be a memorable one! This is an historic moment in the life of JCS, as we prepare to open our Early Learning Center, dedicated to serving 2-year-olds through 1st grade, in August 2018.

Thank you for your investment in Christian Education and for the privilege we have to partner with you in the education of your children. With over 54 years of excellence in education, JCS promises to educate students in a nurturing community to excel in life and engage the world. We take this JCS promise very seriously, and deeply value your trust in our partnership. As we prepare for our upcoming re-registration, we would like to take the opportunity to connect with all JCS families to highlight the events of our school year, answer any questions you may have about the Early Learning Center, share exciting plans for our Upper School, and review our mission and priorities. For this reason, we have scheduled Pre-K – 1st Grade, Lower School, and Upper School Parent meetings, with both a morning option and evening option for your convenience. We look forward to our conversations together at these events. Please look for dates in this Wednesday's Newsletter.

We have seen strong enrollment growth this year, with student numbers expected to be over 700 before the end of the year, and we are seeing even stronger enrollment trends for the upcoming school year. We would like to honor our current families with the opportunity to secure your spot for the 2018-19 school year first.

Similar to last year, we will upload your re-enrollment paperwork to Plus Portals under the forms tab for the 2018-19 school year. Again, the re-enrollment process will begin on Monday, January 22nd. This will be a rolling process with all forms uploaded by January 20th. Please electronically complete the forms and submit the $525 non-refundable deposit per child ($1575 per family) by February 21st. A tremendous amount of planning must take place for every school year and it is highly dependent upon the timely submission of re-enrollment information. We also have many new applicants awaiting acceptance into the school, however we always give first priority to our existing students and their siblings, so please be diligent about completing the re-enrollment by the February 21st deadline before Open Enrollment begins.

The Board has approved a budget with an increase of 2% (past tuition increases have been between 3.5-5%). This modest tuition increase, combined with a number of tuition assistance opportunities, reflect the Board and Administration's commitment to move the school forward while keeping a JCS education affordable. This year we have also included fees in our tuition numbers, including PTP dues, activity fees, retreat fees, consumable book fees and graduation dues. These amounts are now included in base tuition which will simplify billing and allow this full tuition to be paid out over a family's chosen payment plan.

JCS is committed to making a Christian education available to families who share the school's mission and vision. We work hard to keep tuition rates as reasonable as possible, without sacrificing the quality of education our parents and students expect. We want to provide the best teachers and the best educational experience possible for your children.
