Hello and welcome back to school!

I hope everyone is well and your children are settling into the new school year.   I wanted to send a short note regarding the 2017 Jupiter Christian School ESE Christmas Classic.  The event will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, at Quail Creek Plantation in Okeechobee, Florida. 

I spoke with many people after the orientation meetings and during the "move in" day prior to the start of school regarding the event.    I am thrilled at the amount of interest in the event and had many people offer to help with sponsorship opportunities, help finding sponsorships, donations, or volunteering to help.  I now respectfully ask if anyone who offered to help with any of these items or anyone who would like to get involved with the event in any manner, to please reach out to me via phone or text at (561) 262-2398 or via email at pwatashee@aol.com.  

Please remember, the JCS ESE Christmas Classic is an outdoor extravaganza for the entire family to solely benefit the Exceptional Student Education program at JCS. We developed this event for your family to enjoy the day, whether or not you want to participate in the actual clay shoot.  There will be plenty for all to enjoy in a safe and fun Christian atmosphere. 

I personally invite you and your family, of all ages, to come and enjoy the event and find a new sport that you and your family can enjoy together for years to come.

Our 7th and 8th grade students will be headed for Camp Aurora, on September 6th, for their Middle School Retreat. It will be a great time for students to get together, have fun, get to know one another better, and Consider Him. Permission slips are due back by Friday, September 1st in the Upper School Office. 

Registration for first quarter clubs is now open. Clubs begin the week of September 5th. First quarter offerings include:

• Drawing Club
• Community Service Club (Upper School)
  
• LEGO Club
• Dance and Fitness Club
• The Good News Club
• FCA (Upper School)
  
• Guitar Club
• Journalism Club (Upper School)
  

Space is limited for each club and is offered on a first come, first served basis. For any club questions, please email Ben Hoffman.

The Hollywood Gala Auction Committee is hosting a Lilly Pulitzer "Shop & Share" at The Gardens Mall on Thursday, Sept 7, 10am-2pm.  Shop at Lilly Pulitzer during these hours while enjoying muffins and mimosas! Just say that you're part of JCS and 10% of your sale will go back to the JCS Auction. If you're unable to shop during this time you may pre-shop during the two days prior and JCS will still benefit.

Friday, September 8th from 3:00 - 4:30. Calling all vocalists in grades K-6! Come for an afternoon of singing, games, and activities - all geared towards improving your vocal skills. All this fun will be run by the HS choir members  and Director, Mrs. Hoffman.

Save Around Palm Beach Coupon books are being sold for $25 each and can be ordered through your child's class. Look for the flyer coming home on Wednesday, Aug 30th. The Lower School class that sells the most books will win an ice cream party!

Become a Booster Club Member! The JCS Booster Club is an organization of parents and staff that serves all sports at JCS. We are here to support the mission of athletics by helping to raise funds, increase participation and boost school spirit. As a booster club member, you are able to get into all home games for every sport annually. Family membership is just $199, individual membership is $99, and alumni membership is $25.

Do you want to become a JCS volunteer? If so, all parents who wish to volunteer or accompany their children on JCS field trips must have a current and valid background check. Livescan will be in the Media Center on September 12th from 7:00 - 12:30 pm for those parents who plan on volunteering now or in the future.
