Fit For Hope

Put on those gym shorts and headbands and join us on Saturday, August 26 at 9:00 AM for a heart-pumping workout led by CrossFit Jupiter to benefit Place of Hope.  You may have heard of the Fit for Hope event happening all over town this month. Now is your chance to take part in the big finale event, and it's happening at JCS!

We are excited to support Place of Hope as it raises money to open their Gray's Fitness Center this coming Fall. The center will give resident foster youth convenient access to exercise and fitness equipment, and an opportunity for kids to learn healthy habits from the local fitness community. Throughout our 13-year partnership, we've had many Place of Hope students attend JCS and look forward to many more in our ongoing partnership.

Come out and join our JCS families as we team up with CrossFit Jupiter, Guanabanas Island Restaurant and Bar, Fia Fresh Meals, Oceana Coffee, Shabby Shak Boutique, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, and Faith RX to support Fit for Hope.

This event is designed for all levels and ages to participate. Registration will be available at the event and the suggested donation is only $5. For more information, please visit Fit for Hope for more information.

Open House

On Tuesday, August 29, 2017 6:30 pm, the Upper School is hosting a parent open house in the gymnasium. Following a brief presentation in the gymnasium, you will be invited to experience school through your student's eyes as you move through their daily schedule. You will have the opportunity to meet and hear from each of your child's teachers on an abbreviated class schedule. Copies of your student's schedule, along with campus maps, will be available. Please mark your calendar now and make this important evening a priority.

Our 7th and 8th grade students will be headed for Camp Aurora, on September 6th, for their Middle School Retreat. It will be a great time for students to get together, have fun, get to know one another better, and Consider Him. • Please bring JCS approved swimsuits, a towel, and a plastic bag to take wet clothes home.
  • Girls must wear one piece swimsuits.
  • Bible and Pen
  • Sunscreen
  • Please bring everything in a duffle bag or backpack

Space is limited for each club and is offered on a first come, first served basis. For any club questions, please email Ben Hoffman.

Lower School Choral Workshop

Friday, September 8th from 3:00 - 4:30. Calling all vocalists in grades K-6! Come for an afternoon of singing, games, & activities - all geared towards improving your vocal skills. All this fun will be run by the HS choir members & Director, Mrs. Hoffman.

Volunteer

Do you want to become a JCS volunteer? If so, all parents who wish to volunteer or accompany their children on JCS field trips must have a current and valid background check. Livescan will be in the Media Center on September 12th from 7:00 - 11:30 am for those parents who plan on volunteering now or in the future. The background check will be valid for 5 years and will be on file with JCS. This background check is processed through the Volunteer & Employee Criminal History System (VECHS) with the FDLE, specifically for JCS, so previous other agency clearances are not acceptable. You can accomplish this by either making an appointment at the in-school Livescan session or by scheduling an individual appointment at their office in Palm Beach Gardens.
