We are exploring interest in offering a sports performance class at JCS during the school day. If your son or daughter has any interest in taking this course, please reach out to the Guidance Office.  Depending on interest this could be a class offering for this school year!

The FIP class will:

• Educate the students on proper lifting technique for each of the exercises performed in class
• Enable the students to understand their own physical imperfections and how to fix their problem areas
• Understand the difference between Strength, Power, Strength-speed, Speed strength, Agility, Acceleration, over-speed, Change of direction and Plyometric exercises.
• Teach the students how to incorporate the exercises into periodization throughout a sport season
• Teach weight room and training safety
• Teach exercise progression and the planning of the training program

We will be offering a new high school (9-12) elective this year which will meet the Art graduation requirement! Videography will include elements of digital photography, editing and technology application. Opportunities to produce videos and serve as a tech event team will be a course component.
