Pastor Charles Hubbard
Prior to joining the Jupiter Christian School family in 2017, Pastor Charlie served as chaplain and administrator at Pine Castle Christian Academy for three years in Orlando, FL. During his time at Pine Castle, he served in the areas of spiritual development, administration, and admissions.
From 2004-2014, Pastor Charlie served as the Director of Spiritual Life at The Master’s Academy (TMA) in Oviedo, FL. During his time at TMA he served students and families K4-12th grade in the areas of spiritual development and leadership training. Some of God’s blessings during his time at TMA included the start of the Student Leadership Institute, annual trips to Student Leadership University, and mission trips to New York City, Orlando, Bahamas, and Costa Rica. One of the most rewarding leadership excursions was the training of junior and senior leadership students to lead middle school chapel small groups.
Before moving to Florida in 2004, Pastor Charlie served on the pastoral staff at First Baptist Church Johnson City in New York for 11 years. As the Associate Pastor, he ministered to the church body and oversaw the spiritual development of its members. Pastor Charlie took his first pastoral position at Cedar Hill Church in Cleveland Heights, OH in 1991 where he was the Youth and Children’s Pastor. While working in these churches, he received his master’s degree from Moody Bible Institute, was ordained to serve as a pastor, and learned to serve Christ and families as a lifestyle.
After graduating from Cedarville, Pastor Charlie taught middle and high school Bible, Math, and Geography at Heritage Christian School in Milwaukee, WI for five years. This time was marked by building relationships, leading students, and learning practical principles of Christian Education.
While teaching at Heritage Christian, Pastor Charlie met his wife, Cindy Hubbard, who teaches kindergarten at JCS. They have two children and a daughter in law who are all involved in education. Their son, Charlie III, is the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at James Madison University in
Harrisonburg, VA. He holds a Biblical Studies degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) and a master’s degree in Sport Management from Dallas Baptist University (DBU). While attending PBA, Charlie was a member of the men’s soccer team and currently holds the record for most games played for the program. Charlie’s wife, Rachel, is also a graduate of PBA and DBU holding a bachelor and master’s degree in Public Relations. She is the Assistant Director of Admissions at Washington and Lee University School of Law. Pastor Charlie’s daughter, Carley Hubbard, is a 2014 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University where she was graduate of the year in the education department. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Education. Carley taught for four years at Santiago Christian School in the Dominican Republic and is currently teaching kindergarten at Northmore Elementary in West Palm Beach, FL.
