Student Leadership

Student Leadership Opportunities

Student Government

One of the opportunities Jupiter Christian School students have to develop and demonstrate leadership skills is by joining the Student Government Association (SGA). Students who serve on the Student Government Association (SGA) represent the individuals in their specific grade and strive to plan events amongst their grade that promote unity, spiritual development, and school spirit.

SGA members are elected by their peers after an exciting campaign process that includes applying for candidacy, campaigning with posters and speeches, and voting for the candidates that you feel will best represent your class. SGA election typically takes place in the spring for the following year. For an application, click here, or visit the Upper School Office.

The following SGA positions are offered in each grade:
• President
• Vice-President
• Spirit Chair
• Service Chair
• Student Council
• Secretary (12th Grade Only)

Club Leadership

At Jupiter Christian School, spiritual life is not relegated to a few programs, but is a part of who we are and everything we do from academics and athletics to chapel. Our desire is to help move our students toward spiritual maturity and to incorporate their faith into all aspects of life as a natural outflowing of their relationship with Jesus.

However, our spiritual life department does oversee a few specific spiritual life programs that focus on intentional spiritual development amongst the student body. These programs include chapel, missions, community service and GAP groups (small groups focused on growth, accountability, and prayer). For more information on these programs, select the individual links to the left, or contact Mr. Chris Perry, Campus Pastor

Student Ambassador

Our student ambassador program exists to welcome visitors, prospective students, and new students to Jupiter Christian School. Whereas our Admissions Office is our point of first contact for families, our student ambassadors are often the first point of contact for students who are considering attending JCS. It is our goal for each prospective and new student who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, loved, and at home. Our ambassadors serve in a variety of capacities throughout the year including greeting individuals and families, giving campus tours, and working with prospective students who would like to learn more about what it means to be a student at JCS by shadowing one of our ambassadors.

If you are a prospective student and are interested in meeting with a student ambassador or shadowing a student ambassador, please contact our Admissions Office.

Project SRV

JCS students have the opportunity to serve each year through our community service organization called Project SRV. Serving is a tremendous opportunity to help students identify their strengths and calling, and to take a leadership role in making a difference. JCS students are encouraged not just to serve because it is required, but to intentionally serve by identifying a service opportunity in a career field of interest. Some students in the past have decided to group together to lead a project or initiative and an on campus opportunity for all students to participate.

GAP (Growth|Accoutability|Prayer)

GAP (Growth|Accountability|Prayer) groups are small same gender groups designed to foster community and a mentoring relationship between the faculty and students.A significant focus of the GAP group training is an investment into students to assist each one in becoming the powerful faith-filled leader that each student is called to be.GAP curriculum includes teaching in the areas of godly decision-making and leadership.

Specific Leadership Courses (PBA DE Courses, etc.)

JCS offers courses that contain elements of leadership training and teaching, including some that are specifically designed to teach on the subject of leadership. The Palm Beach Atlantic dual enrollment course Principles of Leadership examines how leadership traits are learned.
