JCS Wrestlers Capture Individual District Titles
Congratulations to Jesse Stephanos, Michael Kestner, Johnny Raich, Elijah Cleary, Tag Wilber, and David Kestner who all placed first in their weight classes at the District Tournament at St. Andrew's School in Boca Raton on February 4th. The team placed 2nd in the Tournament. All will advance to the Regional Tournament to be held on Saturday, February 10th at Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale.
Girl's Basketball Team wins District Title
Congratulations to the Lady Eagles for defeating the Pahokee High School Blue Devils Friday night in West Palm Beach for the 2012 District Championship. The ladies advance to the Regional Tournament first round to be played at Jupiter Christian School on Thursday, February 9th at 7:00 p.m. against Saint John Neumann Catholic from Naples. Admission to game is $7.00 per person for all as per FHSAA rules.
Rivals Unite
"Rivals Unite" will take place on Monday, February 20th (No school - President's Day) at 9:00 a.m. Jupiter Christian School athletes will unite with Jupiter High School Athletes to paint and do yard work for Ms. Minnie Carter, 17258 Lincoln Lane, a resident in the Limestone Creek neighborhood as a community service project. Upon completion all athletes from both schools will come to the JCS gym and have pizza and play a friendly game of dodge-ball in the gym. Bragging rights are at stake and all are welcome to watch the game to see who will take home the coveted trophy. We hope to make this an annual event and community service hours will be given to the athletes who attend. Donations of white outdoor paint, paint supplies, yard work tools, pizza, drinks, snacks or cash donations for this event will be accepted. National College Signing Day

Palm Beach County, Wrestling Hall of Fame Honors Former JCS State Champion
Former JCS wrestler and 2005 & 2006 State Champion, Andre Johnson was named "Wrestler of the Decade 2000-2009" by the Palm Beach County's Class of 2012, Wrestling Hall of Fame. AJ was a member of Jupiter Christian School's 2006 State Championship team as well as an individual state champion in the 140 pound weight class.
Two Outstanding Seniors Recognized by the 2011 Wendy’s High School Heisman Program
Congratulations to Seniors, Stephanie Kumler and Kedric Bostic who were recently named School Winners for the prestigious Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. Kumler and Bostic were chosen for their outstanding excellence in academics, athletics, and community/school leadership. Nominees from JCS included: Troy Katterheinrich, Jenna Carlyle, and Kyle Knopp.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman celebrates the achievements of the nation’s top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom. Just as the collegiate Heisman is known for being the highest award in college football, the Wendy’s High School Heisman award is recognized as the most esteemed award at the high school level as it encourages future leadership by acknowledging well-rounded students.
Act of Sportsmanship Winners
Congratulations to the following Act of Sportsmanship Award winner for the Week of 1/23/12.
Michael Kestner - Wrestling - At the end of his semi-final match at The Raich Memorial Tournament, his opponent shoved him in the face. Mike showed exceptional sportsmanship and self control and representing our school by not retaliating. (His opponent was penalized for his actions).
