JCS offers both boy's and girl's basketball. Boy's basketball includes a Middle School team for grades 6-8, a Junior Varsity team for grades 8-11, and a Varsity team for grades 8-12. Girl's basketball includes a Middle School team for grades 6-8, and a Varsity team for grades 9-12.  Practices are 5 days a week after school. Teams may attend a preseason tournament, a holiday tournament or a skills camp in the summer.  Physicals are required prior to tryouts for anyone interested in playing.
