Boy’s Basketball
Open gym Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for grades 7-12.

Girl’s Basketball
Open gym Thursday, September 11, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for grades 7-12.

Coed Indoor Soccer
Open gym tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for grades 7-12. 

Fellowship for Christian Athletes (FCA)
At the September 4, 2008 meeting, twenty-six High School student-athletes expressed interest for being on the FCA leadership team.  Fourteen volunteered for officer positions and these students will help organize/lead lunch huddles and events.  The remaining will lead in devotionals, announcements and prayer during lunch huddles.  The first FCA meeting is on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the High School and Middle School lunches.  FCA is open to all students in grades 7-12.

Varsity Volleyball
The ladies lost to The Benjamin School 12-25, 22-25, and 15-25.  Kelly Teufel had seven kills, Kayla Nieves had six digs and Lauren Monahan had three service aces.

JV Volleyball
The ladies lost to The Benjamin School.  There is a JV volleyball tournament at Park Vista High School Friday and Saturday, September 5-6, 2008.  The team bus will leave at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

MS Volleyball
The middle school volleyball team won against Benjamin in two straight games.  The scores were 25-14, 25-10.  Shelby Barnett and Nina Olivera were two key servers in the games.  Shelby scored 11 consecutive points and Nina scored 9 points from serves.  Record 1-0.

Varsity Cheerleading
First game Friday, September 5, 2008 at Okeechobee High School at 7:30 p.m.

MS Cheerleading:
First game Saturday, September 6, 2008 at The Benjamin Lower School at 11:00 a.m. against Clewiston Middle School.

Varsity Football
Game on!  First regular season game is Friday, September 5, 2008 at Okeechobee High School at 7:30 p.m.  Directions:  Okeechobee High School, 2800 US Highway 441 N., Okeechobee, FL  34972.  Go west on  Indiantown Road (706 west).  Turn slight right onto FL-710/Bee Line Hwy.  Continue to follow FL-710W.  Turn left onto FL-70 W.  Turn right onto N. Parrott Ave./441 N.  End at 2800 US Hwy 441 N.

JV Football
The guys lost to John Carroll High School 26-22.  Brandon Collins returned a fumble for a TD, Josh Gamble caught a screen pass and ran it in for a TD, Austin Talbott threw a 40 yard pass to Taylor Heinz for a TD and Kevin Meyer made a two point conversion.

Middle School Football
First game Saturday, September 6, 2008 at The Benjamin Lower School at 11:00 a.m. against Clewiston Middle School.  The team bus will leave JCS Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Boy's and Girl's Cross Country
Daily practice for both boy's and girl's will be M-F from 3:20 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meet in the JCS courtyard.

Varsity Golf
Practice cancelled today.

Junior Varsity Golf
The guys lost 227-214 to Community Christian.   Jake Newcomm shot a 54, Dillion Reno shot a 57 and Tony Ballew and Gage Marino each shot a 58. Practice cancelled today at the course.  Meeting at JCS in room 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Sports Physicals
All students should NOW be getting a sports physical and parents completing paperwork necessary to play sports. Call Mrs. Loud at 561.354.1931 if you have questions or need a packet. YOU MUST HAVE A SPORT'S PHYSICAL ON FILE TO TRYOUT.

Dr. Don Pearsall, JCS dad and local Chiropractor, will perform sports physicals for JCS athletes in his office located at 275 Toney Penna Drive in Jupiter. Call 561.746.4242 to schedule an appointment and inquire about cost. All athletes must have a sports physical to play a Middle School, Junior Varsity or Varsity sport.
